Design Of The Month

"As you can see my bathroom is only small" is a phrase I hear a lot these days. Smaller spaces need more thought and clever design ideas to help maximise on storage but equally create a modern functional space that is pleasing to the eye. This is a small en-suite bathroom I recently created for our customers Simon and Natalia.
I think the use of natural looking materials works very well in this bathroom. I have added a waterproof wood effect panelling on the shower facing wall and a bespoke Premier sink base unit, all of which are made in our very own factory. I've used a new "Alpina Burnt Ash" drawer front which has a very tactile black driftwood effect texture and then added a Roca sit on bowl sink and an extended basin mixer over the top. A simple Prisma comfort mirror provides ambient lighting over the sink as well as incorporating a useful demister pad, both operated by sensor controls built into the bottom of the mirror, just wave your hand and this switches them on and off. The Roman shower cubicle is now available in matt black, which was a special request by the customer. Using a matt black radiator helps to pull the whole black and white themed design together.
Karndean Opus Urbus flooring gives a concrete tile effect without being a cold floor to walk on in the winter and is very hard wearing with its lifetime guarantee. Trendy metro white wall tiles are a great choice in here. Just tiling the lower half of the walls makes the space feel bright and allows the plastered walls above to be painted in whatever colour the customer chooses.
